The QR code won't scan — what do I do?

Try these in order — the first two solve most cases.

More light. Thermal bills are low contrast; a dim shop counter is the usual culprit.
Hold steadier and further back. Too close is a more common problem than too far. Give the code a few seconds to focus.
Flatten the bill. A curl or a fold across the code stops it reading.
Check the code isn't smudged. Thermal paper marks easily against a warm or damp surface.

If the camera doesn't open at all

Keep the bill and get in touch. A bill can usually still be credited afterwards as long as the offer had been saved before you shopped.
